Because of the way FanFest was set up, we didn’t really have a whole lot of control over who we got autographs from, but we were prepared regardless. I purchased this throwback mini-helmet a few weeks before and wasn’t sure who I was going to get to sign it. The first guy out of the gates was Francouer and I thought it would look cool with his signature. As you can see, it turned out really nice. They even had an MLB rep there to certify it (see hologram). As always, “Frenchy” was cool and very cordial with the fans.
On a side note, FanFest was a bit of a debacle. They reconfigured how they did the autograph lines and it was a mess. Luckily, me and my buddies Jerry and Patrick split the cost of an “Elite Pass” which enabled us to pretty much always stay at the front of the line. Not sure if we will be going back unless they reconfigure it again.
